About

American Youth Academy (AYA) is a PK-12 private Islamic school founded in 2004 at 5905 E. 130th Avenue in Tampa, serving roughly 1,200 students. AYA is the only Islamic school on the East Coast authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP, grades 6-10) and Diploma Programme (DP, grades 11-12), having become an IB World School in October 2014. Arabic and Qur'anic studies are integrated alongside the core curriculum through the QAIS department. The school is accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS), Cognia (SACS-CASI), and the Council of Islamic Schools in North America (CISNA). Athletics compete as the AYA Falcons; arts and robotics programs run across divisions.
