About

Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School is a Catholic, co-educational, college-preparatory high school in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn, founded in 1851 as the first diocesan high school in the United States. The school is sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers and serves grades 9-12 from across Brooklyn, Queens, and beyond. Admission uses the TACHS (Test for Admission into Catholic High Schools), the standard entrance exam for Diocese of Brooklyn high schools. The curriculum offers Advanced Placement courses, Honors tracks, and a long-standing competitive athletics program in the CHSAA. Tuition assistance is available through the diocese and external scholarship programs.
