About

SAR High School is a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish college-preparatory high school in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, founded in 2003 as the high school division of the SAR Academy network. The school enrolls roughly 800 students in grades 9-12 and offers an integrated dual curriculum pairing rigorous Judaic studies (Tanakh, Talmud, Halakha, Jewish thought, Hebrew language) with college-preparatory general studies including a broad menu of Advanced Placement courses. The Riverdale campus includes a beit midrash, science and computer labs, a theater, and athletic facilities. SAR is a leader in Modern Orthodox education with signature programs in Israel travel, ethics and beit midrash learning, the arts, and competitive athletics in the MetJHSAL. Graduates matriculate to selective colleges as well as gap-year programs in Israel.
