About

Yeshivah of Flatbush Joel Braverman High School is a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish college-preparatory high school in the Midwood section of Brooklyn, serving roughly 600-700 students in grades 9-12. Founded in 1927, it is among the oldest Modern Orthodox day schools in the United States and is known for its strong dual curriculum integrating Judaic studies — taught largely in Ivrit b'Ivrit (Hebrew immersion) — with a rigorous college-prep general studies program featuring a broad range of Advanced Placement courses. The Midwood campus on Avenue J includes a beit midrash, science labs, library, gymnasium, and theater. The school is well known for its signature Israel travel programs, Model UN, Model Congress, science research, and athletics in the MetJHSAL, and graduates matriculate to selective colleges and Israeli gap-year programs.
