Packer Collegiate Institute is a coeducational PK-12 independent day school in Brooklyn Heights, founded in 1845 as the Brooklyn Female Academy and reorganized as Packer in 1854. It is one of the oldest schools in Brooklyn and occupies a Gothic Revival campus on Joralemon Street. The school went fully coeducational in 1972 and now serves students across Pre-Primary (Preschool-K), Lower (1-4), Middle (5-8), and Upper (9-12) divisions. Packer is known for arts and humanities, with strong music, theater, and visual arts programs alongside a college-preparatory curriculum. The school awarded over $12.5 million in financial aid for 2025-26.
