SAR Academy is a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish day school in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, serving students from Early Childhood through Grade 8. Founded in 1969, it is one of the largest Modern Orthodox elementary day schools in North America with roughly 1,000+ students. The dual curriculum integrates rigorous Judaic studies (Tanakh, Talmud, Hebrew language, tefillah) with a college-preparatory general studies program emphasizing literacy, STEM, and the arts. The campus on West 254th Street includes science labs, a beit midrash, gymnasium, and outdoor play spaces. SAR Academy is the primary feeder to SAR High School and is widely regarded as a flagship of co-ed Modern Orthodox education.
