About

St. John's Preparatory School is a Catholic, coeducational Vincentian college-preparatory high school in Astoria, Queens. Founded in 1870, it is the oldest secondary school of the Vincentian community in the United States and the only co-ed Vincentian high school in the Northeast. The school enrolls roughly 450 students in grades 9-12 and offers Honors and Advanced Placement coursework along with Vincentian service-learning programs grounded in care for the poor and marginalized. The Astoria campus on 80th Street includes a chapel, library, athletic facilities, and STEM labs. Athletics compete in the CHSAA and admission uses the TACHS exam.
